What is Sustanon 250?

Sustanon 250 uses a unique blend of 4 natural, fast AND slow releasing testosterones to help users to bulk; gain muscle mass; recover faster and keep their body in an anabolic state. By releasing testosterone slower and more stably, users can experience immediate and longer lasting benefits. Some Sustanon 250 gains include muscle gains of 10-20lbs per cycle (50% is water retention); increased energy, endurance and stamina; fat loss; reduced lethargy/brain fog and preserved lean muscle tissue (during cutting).

Just a few Sustanon cycles can already show you some serious changes. But, of course, there are also Sustanon 250 side effects to consider. And also not unimportant when buying sustanon: the price. In general, how much does testosterone cost and is this actually worth it? In this interview with a real Sustanon user, we try to find the answer to these questions and many more. Let’s go!

The interview

How long have you been bodybuilding?

I began taking it more seriously once I hit 24, as I started to get moobs and my gut was no longer shifting as easily as it did at 18. I used to think a few quick trips to the gym would keep me in shape, but my lifestyle choices were pretty s****y. I drank too much. I pigged out on take-outs and fatty foods and to put it bluntly – I didn’t take care of myself.

I didn’t even notice anything was wrong until my girlfriend made a joke that my boobs were bigger than hers. And I couldn’t even dispute it or laugh it off, as it was true. Initially, I started going to the gym more and stopped binging on alcohol – thinking this would help – but it just wouldn’t shift, so I got a trainer who taught me the pros and cons of bodybuilding.

Since then I have worked hard to achieve a body I can be proud of, and after 3 years I am pretty happy with the results.

What does your average week of workouts look like?

Hmmmm… that’s a hard one as it depends on whether I am trying to bulk or cut.

When I am trying to bulk, I spend less time doing cardio and more time weightlifting. I usually start with a 2-day split where I workout my entire body in just 2 days and do this twice a week (2 days workout, 1 day rest and then another 2 days workout).

On the first day I will do:

  • Pull ups – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Dips – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Lying leg curls – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Barbell squat – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Barbell shrug – 4 sets, 6 reps

On day two I will do:

  • Barbell curl – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Standing barbell calf raise – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Smith machine reverse calf raises – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Standing military press – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Side lateral raise – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Barbell rear delt row – 4 sets, 6 reps
  • Close-grip barbell bench press – 4 sets, 6 reps

On my second two day split, on day one I do:

  • Bent over barbell row – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Barbell incline bench press medium-grip – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Stiff-legged barbell deadlift – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Barbell lunge – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Barbell shrug – 3 sets, 12 reps

On day two I will do:

  • Preacher curl – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Standing barbell calf raise – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Seated calf raise – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Front dumbbell raise – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Side lateral raise – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Barbell rear delt row – 3 sets, 12 reps
  • Standing overhead barbell triceps extension – 3 sets, 12 reps

I try to do the maximum weight possible for each set of reps and usually rest for around a minute and a half between sets, and three minutes between each exercise.

When I am cutting, my workout routine is different as I increase my cardio. I don’t do too much – as I don’t want to lose muscle mass – but I do enough to help me get cut.

Personally, I prefer doing high intensity interval training first thing in the morning, three times a week and for 15 minutes at a time. However, low intensity long duration cardio is meant to be good too. You do it for 30-60 minutes at a time, 3-4 times a week (more if you don’t lift weights).

I still do some weightlifting when I am cutting, but not too much as I’m trying to lose fat and not gain muscle. Instead, I follow a routine I discovered online where I focus on my large muscles (my legs, abdominals, back and chest) and do compound exercises (squats and bench press); take shorter rests (only 30 seconds) and also do circuit training.

This is my preferred routine, and it took a lot of trial and error to get it right, but there are tonnes of other exercises out there if this is not for you.

When did you decide to first take Sustanon 250?

I first tried it last year after a friend recommended it for its fast recovery and muscle repair time. I have used various other testosterone shots, but found the benefits to be short lived.

Now, Sustanon 250 is by no means perfect. For every 20lbs I gained, only 10lbs was actually muscle, so the process is slower than some. But I liked the fact that it isn’t a steroid as such but is made from 4 types of pure testosterone that your body already naturally produces. It felt more natural and safe.

The thing to remember is to take a break between cycles; to stack it with something else and to make sure you do post cycle therapy so you don’t suppress your natural testosterone production.

Do that – plus make sure you are using a legit product – and Sustanon can offer you a balance between slow and fast testosterone release.

Did you stack it with anything else?

I always stack when I am bulking. True, it adds to the cost per cycle, but as Sustanon gains are fairly mild, I chose to stack it with Dianabol. This helped to increase the amount of muscle I gained, whilst keeping my fat gain to a minimal.

Can you tell me about your Sustanon 250 cycle and dosage?

I do a longer cycle than most of my bodybuilding friends, and usually do 10 weeks instead of 8.

When I was bulking, I stacked Sustanon with Dianabol. This meant I only needed to inject 250mg of Sustanon once a week (10 injections in total across my whole cycle). At the end, I took 2 weeks off before I started the cycle again.

I only used Sustanon three times for bulking. When cutting I used something else as the Sustanon price is quite high.

How much did it cost you?

When I used Sustanon, I wanted the best. Something that was FDA approved and wouldn’t harm my body. Unsurprisingly, this route proved quite expensive. I think I spent on average $20 per 250mg vial.

I know that is a lot compared to the underground lab stuff, but there is a reason why that stuff is so cheap – it’s crap and clearly made in a basement. I tried it once for a few weeks and wouldn’t touch it again – not even if you paid me to.

My bill is generally more expensive than most as I do longer cycles. Most of my mates stick to the typical 8 week cycle, but I find I get more positive, lasting results when I do 10-12 weeks. As you can guess, that really pumps up my bill.

During my last Sustanon cycle I spent $200. I could have easily spent more if I’d chosen to just bulk with this testosterone injection, but I prefer to stack with Dianabol when I am bulking, so I only needed 250mg of Sustanon per week, compared to 500-1000mg (every 7 to 10 days), if I was to use it on its own.

For beginners can you explain how to take Sustanon?

Sustanon 250 is basically pure testosterone that you inject into your muscle tissues. The best places to inject it into are the muscles in your upper legs, upper arms, or if you’ve got a partner – who’s willing – your butt.

I won’t lie though – it hurts. A lot. Personally I found the sensation to be irritating if not uncomfortable – so I avoided injecting it into my butt like the plague as I like being able to sit down thank you very much – but I’ve known others who would describe it as downright painful for the first few cycles you use it.

Now, what you are using it for will affect how often you need to inject it…

For instance, if you’ve got low testosterone levels, then 250mg every 21 days should be enough to boost your testosterone back into the normal range. However, if you’re bodybuilding, you’ll need to take it more regularly.

In my experience:

  • Using it on its own to bulk – you should take 500-1000 mg every 7-10 days.
  • If like me you prefer to stack with something else whilst you’re bulking, you will only need 250mg of this testosterone shot a week.

What about your results at the end of your Sustanon cycle?

The first time I took Sustanon it took over 21 days before I started to see a difference in my muscle mass. It wasn’t a massive difference but because I was tracking it I noticed. By the end of my 8th week I had put on 18lbs and by my 10th I had put on 21lbs.

These results didn’t last though and I lost over half of this to water retention, so by the end I had only put on 10.8lbs in muscle.

Admittedly, I have seen much better results with other testosterone shots, but I stuck with it for three cycles, as long term I was able to maintain the muscle mass I gained for 3 months.

Did you see any Sustanon side effects?

Bar my skin becoming oily and suffering from increased acne, muscle tissue irritation (from the injection) and water retention; I faired pretty well with this product. Yet I know not everyone is so lucky.

From hair loss, nausea, dizziness, itchiness and mood swings, to man boobs, increased blood pressure, raised bad cholesterol levels, depression and testosterone suppression; there’s loads of stories online about its negative side effects.

I think the key to successfully using Sustanon 250 is to be aware of these risks and know how to take the right precautions.

For instance, I didn’t just jump straight in with Sustanon and start using it. I paid my dues and did my research. So I knew to take an aromatase inhibitor (to prevent extra estrogen from causing man boobs); I made sure to eat healthier, cut down on sugar and exercise regularly (cardio) to help my cholesterol; I incorporated post cycle therapy and Clomid into my routine to prevent the suppression of natural testosterone production (minimizing depression, muscle loss and fat gain), and I took a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor for my oily skin and acne.

Admittedly, they weren’t 100% effective and I still got spots and water retention, but I feel they helped to reduce the possibility of these other side effects, so I could better enjoy the perks.

Did you have to make any other diet or workout changes to get results?

I have done a lot of experimentation over the years with my diet and workout regimes – all before I even tried Sustanon. When I first started using Sustanon 250 – due to my research – I was more aware of my need to reduce my sugar intake, drink more fluids and eat more healthy fats.

Similarly, I made a point of increasing my cardio to keep my cholesterol in check. However, I wouldn’t say I massively changed anything in order to get more results.

The workouts I mentioned earlier, have all paired quite well with the injection.

I suppose, all I would say is that whilst you can use it for the cutting phase, I wouldn’t recommend it. Yes, it does preserve muscle, but the increased water retention is not worth the expense. I found it to be more effective when I was bulking.

Do you still use it and would you recommend it?

Truth? I probably used it three times and don’t imagine I’ll use it again any time soon, as I’ve since found something that doesn’t require a single injection.

Now don’t get me wrong, Sustanon is good for your first cycle – especially if you can handle the muscle pain/irritation – but long term I wouldn’t recommend it as:

It is a lot of work but only gives mild gains – there are so many inhibitors you have to take to escape any potential Sustanon side effects, and even then only 50% of what you gain is real muscle mass.
Too many side effects – I was lucky, but not everyone I know has been, and some of the effects are not very pleasant.
There are thousands of fake Sustanon products – most are black market or made in underground labs. It took me days to find a legitimate source that I felt confident enough to buy, but even then I still paid to get it tested (which in itself is expensive) because of all the fake ones I saw first.
Expensive – I stacked Sustanon 250 with Dianabol, one because I found it more effective but two because of the cost. 10 weeks of bulking cost me $200. If I had used it for cutting too I would have spent a fortune.

Summary – the pros and cons

Pros:

  • It’s not toxic for your liver.
  • Quickly increases testosterone and keeps test levels for up to 3 weeks.
  • Made of 4 types of testosterone (which your body already produces naturally).
  • Offers fast recovery times and faster muscle gains.
  • Can help guys suffering with low testosterone levels to reach a healthy level.
  • Reduces cortisol which can help you to preserve your muscles and minimize fat gain.
  • Increases protein synthesis and boosts metabolism which can be used to increase muscle with very little fat gain.

Cons:

  • Expensive.
  • High risk of androgenic side effects including hair loss, oily skin and acne (can prevent with 5-alpha reductase inhibitor).
  • Not great for muscle building – offers 10-20lbs gains, but 50% of this is water retention.
  • Not great for burning fat.
  • Not suitable for women –its 100 androgenic rating can cause virilization – where you take on male characteristics (deeper voice and facial hair).
  • Mild results (compared to other products).
  • Injections can be painful and irritate muscle tissues.
  • Very aromatizing.
  • Can cause excess testosterone to convert into estrogen which in excess can lead to water retention and the development of man boobs (need to take aromatase inhibitor to combat).
  • Can increase blood pressure.
  • Suppresses good cholesterol and raises bad cholesterol (leading to strokes and heart attacks) – can be overcome with regular cardiovascular exercise and a diet consisting of less sugar and more healthy fats.
  • Testosterone suppression – can suppress natural testosterone production. You will need to do post cycle therapy (these drugs can be expensive) to prevent your testosterone levels from being reduced for 4 months (after you’ve stopped taking it).
  • Consequences of testosterone suppression: depression, muscle loss, fat gain and aging.
  • Additional side effects: muscle pain, nausea, dizziness, itchiness, depression, mood swings, muscle loss, and swollen ankles and feet.
  • There are thousands of fake Sustanon 250 products. To check legitimacy you need to get it tested but this can prove expensive.
  • Needs to be stacked with something else to maximize results e.g. Dianabol.
  • Legit Sustanon is only available by prescription.

Star Rating: 3.5 out of 5

So, what’s the verdict?

Okay, let’s get real for a moment, cut all the BS and be honest – is Sustanon 250 worth the investment?

On a base level, you could argue ‘yes it is’…

YES, it can help combat low testosterone levels and give it a much needed boost. YES, it can encourage mild muscle mass gains (10-20lbs per cycle – although 50% of this is water retention) as well as improved metabolism, endurance and stamina. And YES, if you have got the real deal – and not one of those crappy underground versions – it can offer you a natural and safe solution to bulking.

But what about the cons? What about when you strip away all the glitz and glamor and get down to the nitty gritty?

The truth is, unless you get Sustanon 250 prescribed, there is no guarantee that what you order online is the real deal. This means, you’ve got to spend a fortune on getting it tested before you can even use it.

Then there is the fact that if you use it for too long, it can cause the OPPOSITE of what you’re trying to achieve: bigger muscles.

And who wants that? Who wants the paranoia that if they don’t dose up with endless inhibitors; all that muscle gain will go to waste and will turn into muscle loss, fat and – here’s the kicker – man boobs? No one!

Let’s face it – you’re in it to win it! And the last thing you want is for the reverse to happen, especially if its actual results are mild at best.

But that’s not all…

Add into the equation Sustanon’s numerous and messy side effects – acne, hair loss, oily skin… not exactly attractive, right – its ridiculous costs; the painful injections, and all the extras you need to purchase on top of Sustanon in order to keep your body in check (inhibitors, stackers, PCT etc. and these aren’t cheap either)… You have to ask yourself: is Sustanon really worth it?

Is it worth the risk – and the cost – when there are so many other legal and genuine alternatives you can choose from that don’t have an injection in sight?

If we’re brutally honest – no it isn’t.

Don’t get us wrong. On paper, this testosterone injection looks great, and it truly is beneficial if you’ve got low testosterone levels or are doing your first bulking cycle. But the cons surrounding this injection, sadly outdo the pros.

What you need to ask yourself if you are serious about bodybuilding is: can you handle injecting yourself once a week? Can you deal the pain, the aching and the itchiness that comes with testosterone injections?

Similarly, do you want to risk the side effects, the expense and the additional cost of having to check to see if it is the real deal, as well as pay out for all the PCT drugs and inhibitors you need in order to stay safe?

If you answered yes, then by all means give it a try. But if you are hesitant about any of these questions, then why not consider using a legal alternative like Testo-Max?

If like us you don’t fancy the idea of dealing with painful injections in the butt for 2 months, then it is good to know that there are legal – and more importantly – safer alternatives to choose from.

Testo-Max, for example, is truly the ‘Godfather’ of all bodybuilding supplements. Not only is it easy and safe to use, it is 100% legal and can produce rapid results in less than 2 weeks!

There are no needles or prescriptions involved! Instead by taking just 4 capsules a day, you can experience: extreme muscle mass gains; maximum strength, energy and performance, increased sexual drive, and lightning fast recovery times.

More importantly, it be used for both bulking AND cutting cycles.

Formulated from D-Aspartic acid, magnesium, zinc, Vitamins D, B6, K1 and more; combined they can powerhouse your natural testosterone levels by manufacturing the luteinizing hormone which is responsible for boosting testosterone production.

And the result is 100% natural, safe and legal muscle gains, without a steroid or injection in sight.

NOTE: this supplement should be stacked alongside a workout period of 2 months on and 1 ½ weeks off.
